Purchases & Payments
Is this a monthly service? Do I have to pay every month?
No, you don't have to pay every month unless you are buying a specific monthly service like the managed and hosted version of Watch My Domains Server / Cloud Edition. Most of the solutions at Domain Punch are software products that you buy once and install in your own systems. You can use the software for as long as you wish. Any minor version updates we release are also free.
If we release a new major version of the software within one year of your purchase, you will receive a free upgrade to the new version. Otherwise you can purchase an upgrade at a special price. Please note that you can continue to use the version you purchased even if you decide not to upgrade.
Is this a yearly service? Do I have to pay every year?
No, you don't have to pay every year unless you are buying a specific yearly service like the managed and hosted version of Watch My Domains Server / Cloud Edition. Most of the solutions at Domain Punch are software products that you buy once and install in your own systems. The version of the software you purchase can be used for as long as you wish. All updates we release for your purchased version are also free.
For example, all the updates mentioned for Domain Punch Pro v2 and v2.1 listed at the update information page are free for customers who purchased version 2 of Domain Punch Pro.
Please note that major version upgrades are not free. However, if we release a major version within a year of your purchase we will upgrade your copy at no extra cost. Otherwise you can purchase an upgrade at a special price. The previous version will continue to work even if you don't purchase an upgrade.
Evaluations & Trial Versions
I am unable to install or use the trial application!
Make sure that you have the correct version of the software corresponding to your operating system.
You may need the system admin password for most installations. Make sure that you provide the right credentials.
Try downloading the application again after clearing your browser cache.
If you are in a corporate environment, check if software installations are permitted. Contact your system administrator.
Check if any security software is preventing the installation and/ or use. Configure your security software to allow the installation and use.
The software says the trial has expired. I need to test the software for more time!
Contact us to obtain a temporary evaluation code. We want to ensure that you are fully satisfied with the software before you make a purchase. So we are almost always happy to extend the trial.
Do you provide special customizations to the software?
Yes, we do. Please contact us with the details.
Updates & Upgrades
Are there any free updates? How long will I receive updates?
All minor version updates are free. This means that if you purchase v2, you will receive all updates numbered 2.01, 2.1, 2.5, 2.76, etc. at no extra cost.
Major version upgrades are not free. However, we will provide you a free upgrade if we release the next major version within 12 months of your purchase. You will need to claim the free upgrade within 3 months of it's release date.
If you are not eligible for a free upgrade you can purchase the new version at a special price. This is typically 30-50% for low priced products and 25-35% (of the full cost) for higher priced products. Purchasing an upgrade is optional. In most cases you can continue to use the version you have without an upgrade. You can also contact us if you need technical help with the earlier versions.

Licenses & Registration
If I have a single user license, Can I install the software in my laptop or second computer?
Yes, you can. Single user license simply means that only one user should be using the software at any time. Please make sure that two people are not simultaneously using the software.
Can I upgrade my single user license to site or multi user license?
Yes, you can upgrade your licence or software (from one product to another) at any time by paying the difference in prices. Please contact us with the details and we will provide you the proper purchase links.
Can I upgrade to an advanced version of the software at a later time?
Yes, you can upgrade to advanced versions of the same software by paying the difference in prices. Contact us with details of your current product and we will provide you a special purchase link to pay the balance and upgrade to the advanced version.
Can I move my installation to a new system?
Yes, you can do this on your own without even contacting us. Please see the post-sales FAQ for details.
What is a site license?
Site License allows you to install the software on any number of computers belonging to the company at a single physical location.
The site license is for a single physical location. You will need to buy two site licenses if you have offices in two different cities.
We do allow a single site license for multiple users in different cities if the total number of users is not more than 5. Please contact us if you are interested in this.
