Software License Terms and Conditions

License Delivery and Responsibility

Most software products require a license or registration key, which will be provided by email after a successful purchase. Under no circumstances may a license key be distributed, shared, or transferred to any third party. The licensee is solely responsible for securely storing all license keys and related files provided by the licensor. Softnik Technologies is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or deleted license keys or files.

Single User Licenses

A single user license is valid for one individual and may be installed on multiple computers owned or used by that individual. However, only one instance of the software may be in use at any given time.

Site Licenses

Site licenses may be available for certain desktop software products, but are not normally offered. Where available, a site license permits installation of the software on any number of computers owned by a single company or organization at one physical location. Organizations with multiple physical locations must purchase a separate site license for each location.

Single user licenses may be upgraded to site licenses at any time (where site licenses are available) by paying the price difference.

Upgrade Policy

The upgrade policy applies to all paid software products unless otherwise stated.

Minor Updates: Minor version updates are provided free of charge. For example, a purchase of version 4.0 includes updates such as 4.01, 4.1, 4.2, and similar releases.

Major Updates: Major version upgrades (for example, from version 4.0 to 5.0) are free if you are within the applicable free upgrade eligibility period. This period varies by product and is typically 6 or 12 months from the date of the qualifying purchase. Free major version upgrades must be claimed within 90 days of the release date of the new version. Softnik Technologies reserves the right to deny free upgrade requests submitted after this period. If the free upgrade eligibility period has expired, upgrades may still be purchased at a discounted price.

Licenses Including Source Code

Certain licenses may include access to the software source code. Depending on the product, this may include non-minimized original files such as C, C++, Objective C, Python, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

The source code is a valuable intellectual property of Softnik Technologies. Purchasing a license that includes source code does not transfer ownership or grant any exclusive intellectual property rights.

Permitted use of source code is subject to the following conditions:

You may review, debug, and modify the source code solely for the purpose of integrating the software with your own websites, applications, or products. You may not distribute, share, disclose, sublicense, or otherwise make available the original or modified source code to any third party. You may not use the software or its source code to design, develop, or plan competing or derivative products, libraries, or services.

Third-Party Software

Some products may include third-party libraries provided under separate license terms. These components are stored in separate directories and include their respective license agreements.

Lifetime Free Upgrades

Certain products may include lifetime free upgrades. The term “lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the product itself. Under this offer, you are entitled to all minor and major updates of the same product. Major upgrades must be claimed within three months of their release.

Special Upgrade Offers

From time to time, Softnik Technologies may offer complimentary upgrades to customers who purchased older versions or lower-tier products. These upgrades are not recorded separately. Customers are responsible for backing up all registration codes and software received through such offers. Replacement of lost upgrade keys or download links will not be provided, as only original purchase records are retained.

Trial and Evaluation Versions

Free trial versions of the software may be provided for evaluation purposes. Trial versions are fully functional but are limited to a specific evaluation period, typically 30 days. Trial software may not be used for production or commercial purposes. Trial extensions may be requested by contacting Softnik Technologies.

Non-Compete Restrictions

You may not use the software or any portion of it in products or services that compete with Softnik Technologies’ offerings. The software may not be used in any product or solution that provides domain portfolio management to end users, developers, or third parties without prior written authorization from Softnik Technologies.

Limited Warranty

Softnik Technologies warrants that the software will substantially perform in accordance with its published documentation. To the best of Softnik’s knowledge, use of the software does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this limited warranty replaces all other warranties, whether express or implied. Softnik Technologies expressly disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

No Softnik representative is authorized to modify this warranty. Any claim for breach of this warranty must be initiated within one year following the expiration of the warranty period.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties. In such cases, any implied warranties are limited to 30 days from delivery of the software. This warranty provides specific legal rights, and additional rights may be available depending on jurisdiction.
