DNS Alert Setup

Remember to schedule the DNS lookups at regular intervals using the Schedule Lookups panel. Use the entry named 'DNS Lookups For Monitoring' (Enable it and specify a suitable lookup interval).

Please make sure that PHP: Net_DNS2 is installed if you want to use custom name server for DNS lookups. It is currently not installed.

If a Name Server IP is specified it will be used for all DNS lookups. See the user-guide to learn how to customize this for individual domains.

DNSBL checks take time to complete, Do not enable this if you have a huge domain list.

Even if email alerts are not enabled the DNS change data will be recorded in the audit logs.

For emailing the alerts. Each row can contain a name and an email separated by a semicolon (;). You may leave this empty and configure a default recipient for all reports and emails in the Email Settings pane.

Setting the delay to minimum (zero) will cause an immediate email to be generated after each record change detection. The Maximum setting (60 minutes) will cause alerts to be grouped together and emailed every 60 minutes.
